Noah's Ark Veterinary and Boarding Resort offers professional grooming services for dogs and cats. Our team of groomers look forward to pampering your pet! From sporting breeds to toys, bichons to poodles, himalayans to short-hair domestics...we can do them all! We strive to make every grooming experience as smooth and stress-free for your pet as possible, while providing the best groom.

Eileen Adams
Experience: National Certified Master Groomer (NCMG), Over 30 years of experience in U.S.A. and Europe.

What you should know about Eileen:

"My love for grooming began when I bought my first poodle and decided to show her. I learned how to groom her. I then apprenticed under a groomer in London and realized that I loved this profession. I studied and advanced my skills to attain my NCMG status. I currently own three poodles, or should I say THEY own me! I have two standards and one toy. My goal is simple when it comes to grooming. I always address three concerns. The first is the welfare of the pet while in my care. It is priority that I groom with diligence, kindness, patience, and respect. Secondly, I keep my knowledge and skills up to date with the current trend and tools that affect my career. Lastly, all my clients know that I want to give their pet the best groom for each visit. I enjoy hearing their comments and sharing my knowledge with everyone to provide education on proper grooming care for their pets."

Christy Thompson

Experience: Over 20 years grooming experience.

What you should know about Christy:

Christy has 20 years of professional experience. She has achieved a Master Certification in Non-Sporting Breeds. She started grooming at the age of 12 working with her father, who was a professional handler for many years, to get dogs ready for the show ring. These included Chow Chows, Siberian Huskies, Akitas, Pekingese, and many Collies.

Christy was a groomer in southern Maryland at Interlude Kennel for 15 years, then spent one year at Pampered Paws before taking her services to northern A.A. County at Precious Pet Cottage for 1-1/2 years, and finally finding her home at Noah's Ark Boarding Resort.

"I'm going to stay here for a good long while!"she said. "I really feel at home here. My favorite breeds include Shih-tzu, Schnauzers, Poodles, Newfoundlands, Shelties, Collies, Westies, Tibetan Terriers, and the list goes on and on!"

Tara Burnopp

Experiene:  5 years full time and apprenticed under Eileen Adams (see Eileen's Bio at top of page)

What you should know about Tara:

Tara started with Noah's Ark Boarding Resort on May 23, 2003 as a kennel technician. Because of her love for animals and friendly personality, Tara quickly worked her way into the bather/brusher position with the grooming staff. The grooming staff noticed her natural talent and desire to have a career in grooming. Eileen Adams (the Master Groomer) took her under her wing to personally train her for certification. Her natural artistic ability and calm personality quickly proved her ability to produce the quality of work expected to be a Groomer at Noah's Ark Boarding Resort.

Luz Royal

Experience: Over 6 years grooming experience.  Apprenticed under a professional groomer.

What you should know about Luz:

         Luz apprenticed under a professional groomer who had noticed her natural talent.  She quickly moved up from her position as a bather and officially recieved her grooming status in 2004 although she had a lot of practice while apprenticing before then.  Luz works with all breeds and as you can see in the picture, she is confident with handling large breeds.

Becky O'brien

Experience: Over 8 years grooming experience. 

What you should know about Becky:

          Becky actually worked for Noah's Ark several years back.  She had left to take care of some personal matters for a while but shortly realized how much she loved it here!  Becky works with all canine breeds and is top notch with cats.  She is a great team player and posseses the "can do" attitude.  We are happy for her return.
